How to play
The Name 100 Languages challenge
Name any 100 from a fixed set of 787 human languages, including historical, sign and non-fictional constructed languages. Familiar aliases count together: Farsi/Persian, Bengali/Bangla and Tagalog/Filipino each earn one point. Chinese counts with Mandarin; Cantonese is separate. Norwegian includes Bokmål and Nynorsk. Name a specific language rather than a family or generic sign language. The realistic Earth combines approximate country-level language-use estimates, including additional-language use where available. Heat shows overlapping language presence, not unique people or precise local distributions. Languages without map estimates still count. Inspect a recalled language to see its individual footprint.
Each accepted language scores one point, and repeat answers never score twice. The run completes automatically when you reach 100.
