The service

Can You Name provides recall challenges for entertainment and competition. Scores, ratings, and percentiles are game statistics, not assessments of intelligence, memory health, or any medical condition. Do not use them for health or medical decisions.

Playing fairly

You may play as a guest for personal use. Do not automate answers, interfere with the service, probe other players' data, evade access controls, or use the product unlawfully. We may discard manipulated results or limit access needed to protect players and the service.

Optional accounts and identity

First play remains account-free. If you claim a shelf, keep your sign-in method secure and use only an account you control. A unique username may own public competitive achievements, while an account can still compete anonymously. We may reserve or rename misleading, abusive, infringing, or impersonating usernames and remove manipulated results. Accounts do not include passwords, biographies, uploaded avatars, messaging, followers, or Game Backlog linking.

Public achievement profiles are deliberately noindex and contain only bounded identity, badges, best results, and already-public competitive replays. Username changes are rate-limited and normally subject to a 30-day cooldown.

You can export your account data or delete the account from your shelf. Default deletion removes contact/public identity and irreversibly unlinks retained anonymous research rows; you can also request erasure of linkable gameplay data. Mandatory legal retention and already anonymous aggregate statistics are not affected.

Your entries and research choice

You keep any rights you have in text you submit. You give us the limited permission needed to process entries, judge them, show your result, and operate the service. Any additional use for aggregate recall research is governed by the privacy notice, which includes an opt-out you can use at any time.

Availability and responsibility

The service may change, pause, or contain mistakes, including judging errors. It is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing here limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.
